About Us
G’day from the team at MAQ!
In late 2019, Managing Director of Marine Access Queensland, Clint Luke and his team at The Yard Brisbane were privileged to welcome the truly iconic yacht Adix for a six-month refit in late 2019.
It was a great opportunity to work with the highly experienced yacht crew of Adix. Their level of commitment and knowledge helped to streamline this project and make it a successful refit.
MAQ we responsible for the dry dock scaffolding, all access and safety of the project which was instrumental to the success of the refit.
“For a boat like Adix, space is always important. Logistical issues like handling the three rigs and storage in general, is very important.
“We’ve never seen access so seamless – it was like a highway – enabling dozens of trades on and off to work together safely and efficiently.”

WHAT SCAFFOLDING SOLUTIONS DO WE USE?
We use a range of Marine Scaffolding systems to meet your specific needs
Kwickstage
Kwickstage scaffolding system can be adapted to suit a wide range of marine scaffolding applications, from small repairs to large-scale projects. This versatility and corrosion resistant, galvanised steel components make it a popular choice for use by marine construction contractors and other professionals in the industry. it features a range of safety-enhancing components, including guardrails, stairways, and access platforms, making it a safe and secure choice for use in marine environments. The scaffolding can be covered in shrink wrap to secure the vessel and its contents and protect the restoration from the elements, such as rain and storms.
Layher
Known for its versatility and ease of assembly, Layher All-round Scaffolding is one of the most popular scaffolding systems in Australia. Its unique interlocking components make it quick and easy to set up, while its modular design means it can be adapted to suit a wide range of projects. The scaffolding can be covered in shrink wrap to secure the vessel and its contents and protect the restoration from the elements, such as rain and storms.
Ringlock
Ringlock is a versatile modular scaffolding system that can be erected from the ground up, crane liftable or suspended. Manufactured from high grade galvanised steel to meet Australian standards, the Ringlock Scaffolding System components are engineered with high strength connections that allow for assembly efficiencies, therefore reducing labour.

THE BENEFITS OF ON WATER ENCAPSULATION
On water encapsulation, also known as shrink-wrapping, is a process of wrapping a protective film tightly around a super yacht to protect it from environmental elements during transportation, storage or maintenance. Here are some potential benefits of using on water encapsulation for a super yacht scaffolding business:
Protection from environmental elements: On water encapsulation provides a barrier against environmental elements like wind, water, and UV rays that can damage the exterior and interior of the yacht.
Reduced maintenance costs: Encapsulating a yacht can reduce the need for ongoing maintenance, such as washing and waxing, as the film protects the surface from dirt and debris.
Improved aesthetics: On water encapsulation provides a clean, uniform appearance to the yacht, which is important for high-end clients who value aesthetic appeal.
Increased privacy: Encapsulating a yacht can increase privacy for owners who may not want their yacht visible during transportation or storage.
Protection during transportation: On water encapsulation can protect the yacht during transportation, ensuring that it arrives at its destination in the same condition it left.
Longer lifespan: By protecting the yacht from environmental elements, on water encapsulation can help extend the lifespan of the yacht, which is a significant benefit for owners who have made a substantial investment in the vessel.
